Nick Drew
Our Musical Director (MD) is Nick Drew who has been with the Chorus since January 2009.
Nick has been involved in the World of Barbershop seemingly forever!
He has sang and been involved in competing with a variety of Male Choruses and Quartets.
He is clear that there should be fun in everything we do! With the fun, though, also comes hard work!
Chorus members are expected to put time in to practice their parts at home to ensure best use of rehearsal times together. The benefits of hearing the Chorus sound improve as a whole are huge in comparison to a bit of time spent each day looking over music.
Nick has been instrumental in the continuing development of the Chorus and encouraging improvement allowing confidence to grow. He is keen for this to be realised at rehearsals, in performances and in regard to being involved in competitions.
Nick also invites guest Musical Directors or organises Coaching Sessions with others from the world of Barbershop to help One Acchord grow and develop.
